Hello. My name is George Omegba. I am currently a Sophomore here at Trinity University. I am originally from Nigeria but I lived in Denver, Colorado for the last four years preceding my enrollment here at Trinity. My love for calculations and mathematics in general have led to my decision to major in Accounting.
Nigeria is a country located in West Africa. It boasts a population of about 123 million people. I lived and spent all my life (at least the years preceding my move to the USA) in Lagos, the capital city. Moving to the USA was a very strange experience for me because until that point I had lived a very stable life. In fact, until my move to the US, I had lived in the same house for 14 years! But I have gradually become accustomed to life in the US. It has been a very fun and rewarding experience for me.
Anybody who knows me is well aware of the fact that I am really outgoing. I enjoy meeting new people, making new friends and enjoying the company of my peers! I enjoy reading, listening to music, playing the guitar and most of all playing soccer. I was really excited when upon arriving here at Trinity, I was instantly connected with a couple of guys who play soccer almost everyday. I would even love to try out for the Men's Soccer team next year! I've been playing the guitar for four years now. It is hard to believe I have become very passionate about something I started taking just to fufill an Arts requirement in high school. My favorite musician is Eric Clapton but a very close second would be Stevie Ray Vaughan.
I would like to think I have a pretty good background with computers so I do not really have any pressing concerns about this class. Although, I would be really interested in web design and becoming more adept with Photoshop.
I am looking forward to a really fun year and wish you all the same.
George Omegba
